April-May Reading- We are focusing our skills on compare and contrast characters and their experiences. We will use illustrations to describe information. While identifying the reasons an author uses support points in a text. Then we will focus on identifying the main ideas and retell key details of text. Finally ending the semester with Reader's Theatre.
Writing- We will begin research writing and will review our 3 writing genres- personal narratives, informational, and opinion writing. Also, grammar skills to be identified this semester are verb tenses (past, present, future), compound sentences, and review of nouns, adjectives, and pronouns.
